sub-19s at State (big goal, I know), which will put me in the top 5, if not 1st place (Kentucky is not very fast)
P.S. what does "getting a varsity letter" mean. Ignorant, yes, but I am new to this whole thing

You get them if you're a senior or ran in top 7 at least once here. Seeing as my coach will probably rest the top 7 sometime, I might get one.

Here you can't compete on the MS level and HS. Our 7th and 8th graders officially compete in freshmen races and therefore aren't eligible for JH ones.

you don't think your goals are a little out-of-whack? you want to drop 66 seconds in your 3200, but 52 seconds in your 5k......sub16! wrote:my goals are below. they are all faster than my school records, so i will have the school records too if i reach them.

Maybe his 5k time now is a lot better than his 3200m time in his opinion. Maybe the 3200m was only run once and he was sick or something.

lol I have 4:43 and 16:58 which suggests a sick 3200. but both times I ran it, I was on a dirt track in a dual meet and my coach made me hold back...the times were 10:40 and 10:38. welcome to the "relatively bad 3200 pr" club
