How fast are you?
Like, are you the fastest on your team, mid-pack, or one of the slowest?

Re: How fast are you?
I'm not fast.
But my team's not fast either.
So I'm 3-5 for cross country.
(Edit: we have seven people on Varsity, plus another 20 or so on JV)

Back of the pack for track; our teams really good.
but for xc I'll most likely be 3rd... out of 5 haha. Still okay I guess.

Re: How fast are you?
well, our team is really small/not that great.
For xc I might be 2 out of 5ish (I dont know how many people are joining till late august). But I think this year will be a pretty good year, we might even have enough girls to score

Re: How fast are you?
we only had like 3 distance girls for track last year. one of them was definitely better than me, but I'm about at the same level as the other girl now. next year we should have 5-6 distance.
for xc I think I'll be 5th or tied with #5. 7 on varsity, but there are some reserve.

If I were to do track I would be the only distance runner on the team that does more than a 1500.

Re: How fast are you?
In XC I'm anywhere from # 3-6.
We have about 15 girls on our team and most are pretty decent so this fall will be an interesting struggle for Varsity members.
-----
In Track I'm one of our top sprinters & the other hurdler and I switch back & forth. It's kinda funny sometimes. If I won the 100H she always won the 300H. Then the next meet we swapped...strange.

Re: How fast are you?
For XC I was #6 or 7 on varsity... (we have 7 on varsity...so that's not bad, because we have a huge JV team) ...except for one race in the beginning of the year I was in the JV race and came in 2nd, but my time was better than everyone's in the varsity race. And then one other race I was #5 for the team.
In track, I was on varsity because I scored at a few meets, but I was 7 seconds away from provisionally qualifying for states (in 3200)... but in general I was #5 on distance... but it's hard to compare since we all did different events... but 5 of our distance team qualified for states, and of the rest, I was the closest to making it.

Re: How fast are you?
JH-Best on XC team by a long shot. Placed in top 5 in all but one meet, most of them out of ~100 people, with one or two out of ~300.
I started running a little bit over the winter before track so I became the best JH runner in the area.
Going onto varsity, I've got no shot at at even being the best on my team, I just wanna make top 7. Our team is stacked this year. Our #1 is going for the state champ title.

Re: How fast are you?
I was varsity last year (not saying much lol)
My school is really small, so we don't have a ton of runners, it goes for XC.
Our team's stud (4:30 miler, low 16 5k guy)
HUGE GAP
3 other kids (17:xx 5k guys)
Small gap
Me, and 3 other kids (18 high- 19 low 5k guys)
Moderate Gap
like, 8 kids (20-22 5k guys)
HUGE GAP
about 10 kids. (27+ 5k guys)

Re: How fast are you?
my xc team will actually be good this year, top 3 in the 16's and the rest of the top 7 in the 17's. im really close in ability to
two other guys. i think i'll be 3rd in the beginning because since the other two didn't do base they'll be a lot sharper, but by the end of the season i'll sharpen up and show my superior strength and i should be #1.
