Well they did kill thousands of our people a few years back if I remember correctly...and who knows how many more they would have killed if we weren't keeping them occupied in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And what "war for oil" are you talking about? Being as smart as you say you are, you OBVIOUSLY know that we get almost all of our oil from canada, and not the middle east, right?

Almost all of it? Not true my friend. They are our largest provider by a couple of thousand barrels. CLOSELY followed by the Persian Gulf.

Iraq was never a threat to the US. The US created Iraq in order to combat the rise of Iran and actually supported Sadam Hussein until he invaded Kuwait

Have you forgotten the state Iraq was in befor we got there? Saddam committed mass Genocide (yes, with mostly our weapons) and had no plans on stopping. Even though we made Saddam the mad man he was, there was no way of knowing at the time that he would use those weapons for anything but destruction. The U.S. primary goal for Iraq was to help them fight their war against Iran, and create a strong ally while we were at it. The plan failed, like a lot of plans do unfortunately. We couldn't just stand around and wait for someone to clean up our own mess. More Iraqis are happy that we are there then the media makes it out to be. Ask anyone who has fought there, and they will tell you the same thing. Only simple minds are shaped by the media, my friend.

And those 220 billion barrels are nothing compared to the TRILLIONS we have here locked up in shael stone. The main goal for the war was not for oil. Do you realize how much oil mexico has? You don't see us going to war with them. The "war for oil" is just one big exageration on the truth.
