Last time I went on Wikipedia my computer completely froze for like eight hours. I couldn't even turn it off. So I tend to avoid it now.

couldn't have you just unplugged it, or taken the battery out if it was a laptop?

It's not a laptop. It's like a windows 99 or something. It's already ridiculously slow to begin with, and I was scared that if I messed around with it too much it might self destruct or something.

    I think I need a new computer.

you can unplug desktops...and if it was a laptop, you wouldnt unplug it, you'd just take the battery out.
