Question to the ladies Empty Question to the ladies

Post by Trackaholic Wed Jul 09, 2008 3:04 pm

150 yard dash in stilleto heels? how hard would that be?

    Stilleto Dash

At first I thought it must be tough, I mean I have never worn heels of course, but I cannot imagine sprinting 150 yards If I was wearing a pair. But then I thought, well isnt a true sprint only on the front of your foot? In a real sprint, the heel never makes contact with the ground, am I correct? So would this mean a 150 yard dash in heels is not as tough as it sounds?

Idk ladies, you tell me what you think.

Also, amy palmiero is in the race. Now we have been over the whole debate about whether leg amputee's have an advantage with there blades, but in this case it HAS to be true! Amy only has to wear one stilleto, so does that not leave her blade leg free to power down the straightaway?

So kill your ankles before hand, get artificial ones, and then say you have a right to compete when they tell you they are an unfair advantage.

that would suck. just cuz your heels wouldnt touch necesarily the front of your feet are still in pain cuz they are stuck in a tiny area.

Yeah, interesting point about only running on your toes in a spring anyway. But I think it would still be hard because if the heel is long enough then standing normally you are on your tip toes, so it would be hard to get more on your toes to sprint... the heel would get in the way. And if the sole of the shoe was too stiff, it would also be really hard. having your foot compacted into a small shoe and then trying to run with it would be soooo painful. ... this is what I was thinking about when I couldn't fall asleep last night!! true, I hate wearing high heels >=/ and when the heel is high enough you are literally standing on your tippy toes already.

I was watching that on t.v though, and I really want to do it!
