The problem with you guys and society in general is that you all are materialistic. All you need in life is water and solid food. You all sicken me.

Haha oh yeah definitely, I was just thinking of the environmentalist charitable types (pretty much all the student leaders at school and stuff) at my school are against Starbucks, for paying their workers slave labour, for destroying rain forests in South America and stuff... I'm completely against them, I think it's good Starbucks gives them jobs.
Isn't there a big anti starbucks/department store/any-big-chain thing among kids in the US?
oh I wasn't aware of that, I know they seem (or appear) to be ecofriendly in stores. =/
I dont want them killing trees

Pinthin and 5280ft:
there are a lot of online organizations that offer volunteer programs to foreign countries. all the ones that i've found are really expensive though. if you can afford one and your parents will let you, i would definitely go. i know a lot of people who have gone on them and said it was the best experience of their life. one girl on my team went to Ghana with Global Routes. I'm considering going on one too, but i'm afraid it will mess up my xc training. Here are some links:

Re: Your Christmas Wish List
for donating and christmas, I stay local and collect food and money to send to shelters. and then my family and friends pick a family that needs help and we put christmas gifts under their tree and make sure they're okay.
and yes, I do have a christmas wish list.
but there's nothing wrong that, as long as its not obsessive.

yeah I know, I was just making a point that I'm so sick of everyone complaining about their "terrible" lifes because they dont have all the "cool" things everyone else has. It just gets so annoying, I didn't mean to offend anyone or anything.

yeah, they are really exspensive. I figure when I'm in college I'll just use loans etc.. to pay for it and go then. But I'm also going to be getting a job possibly, maybe I'll just save up and split the cost with my parents.
Thanks for all the links though, I'm going to keep those in mind.
