Umm well I think there are some distance spikes that are perfectly fine to use in both. I personnally have a pair for xc then a pair for track but that's mainly because I run XC yet I'm a sprinter in Track. When you go to get your spikes, if you go to an actual running store or sport's store, ask the person working if there is a shoe that's good for both. They'll most likely be able to give you an answer. Oh and I personnally think spikes for xc are more important since there is different terrain and it helps give you better grip on hills or wet areas. Sorry I couldn't help anymore.

A more aggressive XC spike would be your best bet. Obviously it would be good for Xc. In indoor you can just take the spikes out, and in outdoor you can put shorter outdoor ones in and it will still be fine.

It doesn't really matter. If you care enough to ask, get two pairs of spikes.

XC spikes are usually rubber on the bottom, and track spikes have hard plastic plates. So ideally you would get 2 pairs.
