his base training is a little workout-heavy for a high schooler, but my in-season training this spring was pure Daniels, and I attribute my 4:43 and 16:58 to his great workouts from his 1500-3000 training plan. his 5k-15k plan looks insane but I want to try it at some point.

More mature youngsters can handle a slightly tougher approach, but they're till better off in a 1,500-meter to 3,000-meter program.

Keep doing what you've been doing. Wink

    I know it's a long way off. I'm just eager to do 4x200 + 2x400 + 1x800 + 2x400 + 4x200, all at rep pace during base phase. Very Happy
what would your rep pace be?

Daniels says that in a 24 week season (about summer and xc for us), base phase should be 6 weeks, so RB is right to be in the 2nd part of his base phase.
