    No, he shaves miles.

You cannot function for more than a week or two off of 3 hours of sleep a day.

my mom sleeps about 4 hours a night.....but then again she doesn't run 25 miles and bike 50 miles every day....in fact she doesn't really do anything and could easily get 8 hrs if she wanted

When weekly training logs of champion runners are made public, what you usually see is a particularly great week of training, which is not at all the same as a week during a competitive phase of training. Some runners speak of their 150-mile weeks as if they're normal, when really they've accomplished only one such week.

It helps me with my training in basically every way possible other than changing my actual running schedule, if that makes any sense at all.

It also helps you understand the physiology of running a lot more. The numerous tables and vdot charts are also essential, but you can probably find most of them on the internet (I know the good ones are there).

Overall it is worth your money.

his base training is a little workout-heavy for a high schooler, but my in-season training this spring was pure Daniels, and I attribute my 4:43 and 16:58 to his great workouts from his 1500-3000 training plan. his 5k-15k plan looks insane but I want to try it at some point.

+1, you said it better. i don't d his actual schedule, but it helps to know what it's about and what everything else in the book says.

More mature youngsters can handle a slightly tougher approach, but they're till better off in a 1,500-meter to 3,000-meter program.

    I know it's a long way off. I'm just eager to do 4x200 + 2x400 + 1x800 + 2x400 + 4x200, all at rep pace during base phase. Very Happy
