My name is Sean Greene. I am now 18 years old. I don't know how to start this or if any of you can help me, but I'll start at the beginning.
This story is all according to what I have learned from my journal and from personal accounts as you'll see why.
I started running my freshman year of high school (3 years ago). After a few months of conditioning for cross country I was not very good (about a week before my accident I ran our course in 19:43). I went to a yard sale from this guy down the street who was an Olympic contender back in his prime one afternoon when I spotted a pair of Nikes that looked very different. They had the nike swoosh, but on the back they said "Myre".
I asked him about the shoes and he said he wasn't sure where they had come from. I bought them for $20 and took them for a run. There was something different about these shoes. They seemed to generate more forward momentum with every footstrike than any shoe I thought possible. Here's where I'll lose a lot of you. I felt so great in these shoes, I had my friend time me on a track. I ran a mile, mind you with only a few months of training, in those shoes in 4:17.
The next day I told everyone I knew about the shoes and how amazing they were. That night, my family was in a car accident. My parents were lost and I was put into a coma for up until a few months ago. I was finally recently able to link back up with my friend who was the one who timed me on that fateful mile run. I had lost all memory of the shoes or the mile, but he told me about it and asked me if I still had the shoes. I looked back at my house and everywhere else I could think of and they were gone. The neighbor who had the yard sale has moved away. He insists that he is telling the truth and I found my journal where I wrote about the shoes and the mile.
So basically I am wondering if anyone can help me find these shoes. They were neutral colored Nikes with "Myre" written on the back. I wondered if it was a person's name or something in another language. Perhaps that could be a clue? I am still doing some research. I also think it could just be a misspelling of "mirror". The shoes were neutral gray. I think they were probably released some time in the 90s or even earlier.
If anyone has heard of these shoes or knows where I can find them, I would appreciate it and would reward you for it.
