If you knew anything about religion, you would know that homosexuality in itself is not a sin but homosexual activity is.

i dont mind gay people i have a gay friend but i dont think they should be able to get married. in my opinion god made marriage for a man and a woman not for 2 men or 2 women. oh and in our school its like the cool thing to be gay. this friend i speak of came out in like 7th grade and was ridiculed for awhile but hes overall accepted nwo cuz he is an awesome guy. once people realized that no one was going to hurt him or something else it was like the cool thing to be gay. idk. i guess i just dont like the idea of marriage for them.

God didn't create marriage, the government did.

And Bago, go study theology for a little bit and then argue with me, because you are wrong. Proof-texting does not work. The church's official position is that being homosexual is not a sin because you cannot control it!

You said yourself that homosexual activity is a sin. And I said that even contemplating sin is a sin. You, Mr. "Theology" major know that already.

Also, I didn't say that I hate gays or anything, one of my best friends is gay. I'm just saying that, even if you can't control, sexual lust for the same sex is a sin.

Jesus said it himself:
Never have sexual intercourse with a man as with a woman. It is disgusting.

Thinking about it is different from doing it.

So far, no one has been able to prove that homosexuality is a choice, so if it's something that just happens to you and you have no say in it, I don't see why it should be a sin.

Also, marriage is a governmental institution...(idk how to say that?? but you get what I mean... I hope?) with some religious significance. But just because some religions think it is a sin doesn't mean it should be illegal. I mean, for Jews, it's a sin to eat pork (...I think? or is that Muslims?) but that doesn't mean it should be against the law! 2 men marrying eachother does not hurt anyone else in any way.

So, I understand maybe being a little uncomfortable about having gay uncles...but don't you want them to be happy?

but for most other people, why do you care? It doesn't affect you.. excpet it might make you uncomfortable, but so do a lot of things in life.
