    Biking Empty Biking

    Post by RUNxxWILD07 Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:22 am

    who does it frequently?

I personally love it, and try to do a 40 mile ride at least everyone other week, and 10 mile rides in between.

i feel like it really helps.

when i was out with a hip injury for 3 weeks, i stayed in shape with the bike. i did about 20 miles every day. i actually really enjoyed it but since ive been back running i havent biked. look around i really wanna start up again because it really helped my leg strength, not as much my cardio but it made my legs so much stronger...great xtraining

I bike as a cross training activity

ND XC 23-- Did biking help when you had a hip injury? I injured my hip last week and took time off, and it got better, but then when I ran again this week it came up again. I'm kind of screwed because I have XC camp next week... Sad

I think I can remember you saying you went 8-12 miles on the bike...which is equivalent to a 2-3 mile run lol.

I biked during XC season and for a few days before I started running again. It's a lot of fun, and really kind of a confidence booster when you ride your bike to the next town and back. Only problem is I have to ride my moms "comfort" bike...not the most hxc thing out there I guess lol.

I was riding on a busy road once, and my chain got caught somehow and I ran into a deer crossing sign with my face. Good thing I had my invisible retainer in, or I would have knocked out my teeth, cause I definetly cracked my retainer. And the worst part is, no one believes me that my chain was stuck because when I picked my bike up it was perfectly normal. Rolling Eyes
