    and runforlife thats Amenorrhoea.

Of course HXC your overlooking the one possibility:

    maybe you just suck.

Did you suddenly lose all of your friends, so you decided to come on here and RW and attempt to give witty comments?

It's really getting annoying, Mr. "Nobody-on-my-xc-team-likes-me".

Did you ever wonder why nobody likes you?

He tried to help you, and his comment was rather funny and should be taken with a grain of salt, it was a "laugh with you" moment.

On a side note, I would guess anemia, or maybe something like mono, but what did the doctor say?

It would have been funny if my paces weren't rising 3-4 minutes per mile, and I was freaking out.
It's not even that response that makes me not like him. Have you seen some of his others?
He used to be funny and resourceful at the same time, now he's neither.

I think it is anemia though. I was looking at some symptoms online the other day and I match a lot of them. According to those sites though, I don't have it too bad, and should be able to fix it pretty easily. I'm still gonna go to the doctor though.

It isn't uncommon to start sucking really bad at the beginning of the summer.

The short answer is cut back on your miles until you can hold a decent pace, then build from there. You aren't sick, just to ambitious.

This is like "oober" suck though.

Maybe I'll take your advice though and run a little less but a little faster until that faster pace feels comfortable.

The better idea is to go to vitamin world and get some pills if you are actually iron deficient :/

HXC_Runner2012 wrote:K, so you all remember my thread where I told you about how my heart rate and pace have been ridiculously high? Well I put the watch and heart rate monitor away for a little bit and decided to run by feel for a few weeks. Today we had an unofficial XC practice where we ran a 2 mile time trial, so that we could track our improvement later in the summer. I ran a 14:37. And I felt like I was gonna die. (During track I only ran one 3200 in 11:01). During track I could hold a 7:15ish pace for 4-6 miles, and I wouldn't feel all that tired after it. But I feel like a piece of shit. My runs have been at like 9:00-10:00 pace, with 9:00 feeling like I'm pushing it.

I've been thinking I might have an iron deficiency, or anemia or whatever you call it, but I can't get to a doctor soon. I've been drinking a lot of water, and eating pretty healthy. So pretty much....

    Can YOU guess my ailment?
So how are you doing now?

but yeah, if he says "you're perfectly healthy" maybe you just need some extra time off.

I went to the doctor and she said it was probably anxiety about something...

But it's getting better. I'm back around 8:10ish pace for easy runs.
My HR is still high, but I think it's just because I never checked it before the summer so I never knew that it was high. It's starting to get lower though.

I said if the doctor says he's healthy, he might be burning out and need time off. In my rant about other people's posts I was referring to them telling people to just run easy and see if it goes away.

one of my friends is dealing with a similar thing. i just saw her the other day and she had a heart monitor thing on. she has to have like all these tests done like a stress test and an echo. and a few others. she was having cramping when she ran where her heart is and then it was like skipping beats. she might not be able to run xc now. Crying or Very sad

    good luck.
