Awww, Saucony is so un-loved on this thread.
I happen to think their shoes are great.

Re: Best Training Shoe
well, while this topic is back on top... I had mizuno wave alchemies... the 4s, 5s, and 6s... but I didn't really like the sevens, so I switched to Saucony omni 6 moderates and HATED them. ^^^^sorry!... but they rubbed my heels raw and gave me huge caluses (sp?). Now I have new balance 858s and really like them... so I would vote either mizuno or new balance.

i've had adidas, nikes and asics.
adidas hurt my arches.
nikes were too narrow for my feet.
asics are amazing. love em.

yeah, i had the 5, 6, 7, 7 alchemies, i didn't like the first 7 (they were dark blue and they didn't hug my feet) but the the orange 7's were actually tigher and i liked them.

Re: Best Training Shoe
ive had asics, brooks, and nikes. asics were okay but for some reason i switched to brooks. after almost 2 years in brooks i realized that i really hated them (too stiff and heavy) so now im in some nikes. bowerman series something. and i hate to say it but i love them

i love asics but i try like to try different shoes from them i had one pair of nike but all i got was shin splints from those. basically i try and find shoes that i like and can fit my orthodics well in them. in 8th grade i got them, they're quite annoying.

I'm going to try out the brooks axiom with another pair of the defyance and switch them up every day or so, especially now that I am at 55-60 mpw and will likely hold that for 3 more months.
