ok, so after my break from xc, i started running 30 mpw. i also lift weights 3 times a week. but i also play hockey 4 times a week. on some days i'll run, and then play hockey for 1 1/2 hours, and then run and lift the next day. i take 1 day completely off each week. I stretch for about 30 minutes everyday, so my legs are never tired. i'm just wondering if i'm doing too much, cuz i dont want to get injured. what do you think?

Re: Overtraining
As long as you don't feel tired, you're good. When you start loosing motivation, and feeling tired all the time, that's when I'd start worrying.
What level of hockey do you play? Competitive or Recreation? What position?

You Canadians and your hockey
Back on topic, go farther and run slower and you won't peak.

Hey, it's why over 50% of NHL players are from Canada and we're the greatest nation at hockey. Hell, I just got home from a game, and I have 4 games next week.

Re: Overtraining
You seem fine. That amount might seem like a lot, but since you stretch for 30 minutes everyday it's obviously no problem since you said your legs are never tired. Even go for more if you can handle it, just make sure that if you up your mileage, especially if its a drastic increase, up the amount stretching you do and the amount of sleep you get.

Re: Overtraining
No, 30 mpw should not hurt you at all.
