I've actually thought about becoming a translator as well. I could travel abroad, do something I enjoy and not to mention it would be pretty easy. Just have to brush up on my language skills first
My brother is doing Chinese at university, and is going to be a translator. He's got a scholarship to visit China next year, from January until June. If you learn a different language as a major, then it's incredibly easy to get scholarships. He loves it as well, so if it sounds tempting to you, go for it!
