so after my PR on saturday at confrence i developed the WORST headache, it steadily progressed into sunday night then on monday it cleared up a little bit, now i am sitting here on tuesday night writing this to you, it is at the point i dread getting up to do normal household things, dont even mention going up the stairs. I think its developing from a sinus infection about to occur. During my runs on monday and today my head was just throbbing, and i ended up not cooling down because of it and since it is really bad now im considering skipping school tomrrow, but this would mean i cant run at practice, and tomrrow is a hard workout. Plus we have our last race this week.

Summary: I have had a terrible headache for the past 3-4 days and i need to know if i should skip school AND my hard workout tomrrow or just tough it out since our last meet is on saturday

tylenol or ibeprofun (sp..) hasn't worked?

At our school you have to show up to at least 4 classes or else you cant go to practice. But if you can skip school then make it too practice I would go, or at least run something easy at home??

    hmmm I'm not sure.

Did you tell a doctor? I would go to school then go to the nurse and try to stay as long as possible until the nurse calls your mom to take you home. Then go to practice. Unless you felt as though the headache was life threating.

Stay home and skip the workout. Rest is better this close to a meet. You won't even realize any gains from the workout at this point before the race.

+1 Some times after a hard work out if I for get to drink water I'll have a headache for a day or two. I have one right now because its hot for some reason and I ran counties yesturday and a hard work out today (4 miles then 3 800 repeats on hills(not to bad but this is the first hard workout for me in 3 weeks other than counties)) and I forgot to drink water afterwards.

Vicks vapor rub, medicine, and juice/water. Working out is irrelevant if your last meet is saturday. You won't see any gain from it at all.

It still won't help you, but there's no harm; it's not like you're running Foot Locker in two weeks, and it'll benefit you for indoor.
