    This is realllly not good.

So there is this new girl on our cross country team, yesterday was a long run around this farming area in our town (its basically a big loop) she isn't the fastest so she's usually kinda far behind. It was my first time running down there as well as hers and like a few minutes ago my coach called me saying she never got home from practice yesterday Shocked . Me and my friend were really far behind and we were surprised we couldn't see her but she was with some guy that she's knows and randomly started running with us when we passed him (he's like a freshman) I figured they would do the workout by themselves and he could tell her where to go but its literally a big loop, you just turn left. When we got back her backpack was still there and I was kinda worried but I figured since she always takes a long time it was no biggie. I left right after I got done because I had a dr app, but I told this kid who lives down in that farming area when he rode his bike home if he could go backwards on the loop and look for her( hes on the xc team too). So my coach called telling me the cops might call and ask if I've seen her, I'm soo freaked out right now and I feel terrible being the captain that I left when she was still out there No I should have gone looking for her but I was counting on that kid to stick with her and the other kid too find her on the way back and I really had to go. And I feel even worse because me and my friend were complaining about her on our run, how she was kinda getting on our nerves. I just cant believe this Shocked

sorry but its just so weird and unreal, and I've never dealt with cops before and I'm just really hoping that she's alright! Sad

my mom was coming through town and thought she saw her, but I dont think it was her.

I'm waiting for my coach to call back with some news. I just really hope they dont can my coach because he left early for a staff meeting. He drove past us to make sure we were going the right way and running etc.. and my other coach didn't go because she had work (it was a half day that day) If they do that I'm stuck with the coach that knows nothing about distance running.

Not too mention if she doesn't show up we wont have a girls team again. But lets just hope shes okay. I think she spent the night at somebodys house and she's kinda scattered brained and probably just forgot her backpack at school. At least I hope thats how it went down.

Does she live on the loop? Maybe she got to her house and stoped there.
    I hope shes ok.

Edit: Never mind because if she did I'm sure the coach would have called her house first.

They found her, or she found them..a girl on my team said that she and the guy she was running with got stuck at the river and spent the night??? W/e but she freaked out my coaches and probably her mom and the cops. How do you get stuck there??? ugh w.e.

I'm pissed though, hopefully they wont get my coaches in trouble because she was dumb and decided to skip out on the workout and go to the river with some weird kid. way to go.

they might kick her off, he isn't even on the team, he just started randomly running with us that one day...Not even running they were walking.

My friend thinks that they might constrict our routes to just stuff around our school, like run around the athletic field 20 times. Better not happen Evil or Very Mad

eh So I asked my coach what happened, and she said her and my other coach are in a ton of trouble and hope that they will still be able to coach No . I like love both of them, i'll be devestated if they get fired. Plus that would mean no more xc this season or track until we get more coaches beacause they coach both Shocked

And about the girl (what really happened) Apparently they decided to skip out on the last part of practice, and go for a walk along the river. They stayed out so late they were afraid of getting in trouble and made up a story about getting stranded on an island in the river, and didn't show up until about noon today. I have no idea where they were all night, but that's probably not a good thing. Evil or Very Mad The really odd thing, that the police thought was strange too I guess, was that the parents didn't report them missing until about 2 in the morning (yesterday), and school got out at 10:15 and practice was over before noon the day before! Wouldn't you kinda notice your kid was missing?
