What are some names of hills near you?
Yeah, this is pretty pointless, but I love hearing things like this.

On our xc course, we have "Sam's Hill."
It took me two days to get the joke. blush

One xc course we run on has "Doom," "Baby Doom," and "Doom Jr."

There's one hill deep in the county park. Some if it's names include: Mother Hill, SuperMother, and Quadzilla. It has it's own facebook group. That's when you know it's an extreme hill.

A school near us told us they were gonna build a huge hill on their course to make it a harder course. We got to the school and there was a 20 foot mound of dirt plopped right in the middle of the course.

We have one of the hardest courses in NY though. A lot of teams don't show up, and a lot of coaches don't even let their whole team run it. It starts up hill, and you go up the same hill like four times. Monotony FTL. The course record is 16:58, set by a junior who runs 14:58.

We have Mr. B's hill because our old track coach lives on that street. And we have this road that goes around the dam so we call that the dam road.

As much as I hate my hills, they are fantastic training tools.

Having the steepest hills in our conference makes us a pretty good hill team.

same, its too dangerous to run down though so thats why I get rides to my running spot Neutral

but there are hills on my hill..lol so I use those when I can't get a ride. Its kinda handy.

The hills on my course have names relative to their location or what they look like.

Two of them, for example, are glass hill, because it has lots of broken glass on it, and pool hill, because it is right by a pool.

None are are course but some on are road runs.
I live in a valley surrounded by small mountains.

"Coaches name" hill- Coach lives on this hill.
    Miles from school-3
Notes: I bet I could go sub4 coming down this thing. No lie. It is the worst hill I have ever ran. More of a steep mountain really.

The Fish Bowl- Two huge hills in the moutains right next to each other.
    Miles from school: 3
Notes: We do hill repeats here and it sucks. Its like a giant half pipe.

Fire Hall Hill- Its behind a fire hall.
    Miles from school: 0.5
    Notes: Nothing too bad.

Mac's Ice Cream Hill- Its by Mac's Ice Cream and Pirates Putting Cove.
    Miles from school: 1
Notes: Biggest Hill that isn't part of a mountain range like the first 2.
