today. I ran a mile today in 4:42. My first 1/2 was in 2:35 and my second half was in 2:07. This was not on a track btw. I could have destroyed my mile time if I wouldn't have dicked around in the begining.
Oh well, I only did 2 speedworks this summer and only two hill repeats.
I think I can go 4:29 come track season. Then I think I could pull off a 4:19 before I graduate in 2 years.

Do you think you could beat your mile time right now? If so by how much?

Don't forget you did tempos this whole summer, and don't get too far ahead of yourself either.

Nice job on the HUGE negative split though.

My tempos are 6 miles long so there not really fast. Half my runs this summer where 6 miles. I'm just telling you guys right now I'm going to run a 4:29 this year because I wasn't tired at all.

I'd probably run a couple seconds off my mile right now, but I haven't done any speedwork, and only one tempo.

the mile is an event that really requires you to be sharp, I might only be good for 4:50ish right now.

good posting I might get sub 2 this year but I don't think I'll ever be "elite" I just want to be the one every local person is gunning for.

    Nice job man!

Now imagine what you could do with more workouts and more hill repeats, as well as increased mileage.

I bet you could get low 4:20's this year

No, I'm sure a few speed workouts from now I will be, but right now, I don't think I could drop anything faster than 5:30
