    Calories? Empty Calories?

Post by PCNQtrack Thu Aug 07, 2008 1:06 am

I know this is a weird question, but does anyone have any clue on how many calories i should be getting? my coach doesn't seem to think i've been getting enough. I'm not overweight or under (5 ft. 3 and 105-110 pounds) and all the internet things are different

weird topic i know, but i'm just looknig for some advice

according to calorie need calculor, "You'll need at least 3,395 calories to maintain your current weight and activity level"
"Of this, 1,415 calories are required to
meet your body's basic energy needs. That amount (your resting energy
expenditure) is what you'd use up if you did nothing but lie in bed all
    day."
I put your exercise as exeptional, so if you run less than 2 hrs a day, it's probably off.

2500+ 100 for every mile you run a day. Probably something like 3000 calories, if you start lifting weights or cross training excessively bump it up to 3500.

That's not even healthy for when you're injured and not running. Plus you might still be growing a bit.

If there's any way you can run and think that's enough you must have a brain disorder or something that has trouble producing signs of hunger, that or you starve yourself on purpose.

1300 doesn't seem like enough to me either...I'm almost always between 2000 and 2500! I can't imagine dividing that in half and being able to run Neutral
