    how many oz of liquid do u usually have in a day?

    i try to keep it 60-100 a day to feel good.

    There's such a thing as too much water also, and 100 oz is too much.

    how can u tell if its to much.
    and 100oz are just days like when i have a 14 miler in the heat or something. i need to hydrate a lot before, during, and after and it just adds up to that much.

    As long as you're getting a lot of salt too. The best advice is to drink when you're thirsty. I drink a little more the day before and day of an important race though.

    I always try to drink as much as I feel like. Depending on the run, I nomaly drink 2 20oz accelerades, 1 32oz gatorade, and like 4-5 20oz waters.

    FK, it's pretty hard to be extremely overhydrated to the point that most people warn you about. i that's mostly directed at rednecks who chug gallons of water in fron of their other redneck friends...

    i drink about 30 oz, and eat a lot of high water foods like watermelon and other fruit/veggies

    If you're thirsty then you're already dehydrated a little bit. (At least that's what my coach said)

    umm...I don't know how much I drink...not enough I can tell you that. I went & had a Sport's Physical done & we had to do them dumb pee tests. No Before they even got the results I told them it was going to say I was really dehydrated. (Had a big meet the night before & hadn't had any water since) Sure enough the physician told me I had to drink a tons more of water because it said I was really dehydrated. I haven't really listened that well though...probably should though. Neutral

    Idk how much, I drink when I'm thirsty. After a run though, I usually drink 8 oz. of blue gatorade in addition to water. After a long run, 16 oz.

    I drink a lot of water, probably around 10 of those 16oz bottles a day. I know that's a lot, but I always try to balance that out with salt and stuff, like after I run I'll have pretzels or something.

    I think I get around 100 oz. but on a normal run I often lose 16-32 oz of water so I don't think it's too much, especially on my long run day and days that I double

    i have no idea how much i drink. probably not nearly enough though. im never thirsty i could drink maybe 2 cups of juice in one day and i would be fine.

    there is something as to much water. idk where this was but i heard it all on the radio one day, they played the entire competiton and stuff. there was a water drinking competition and you had to hold your pee the longest to win. well this girl won and she got a wii or an xbox as the prize. like 6 hours later the girl died from having to much water.

    a lot of times we misinterpret being thirsty as being hungry. so yes, the best advice is to drink when you are thirsty. just like the best advice for eating is to eat when you're hungry.

    Anyone have any idea how much to drink before an 11 mile run, where you can't drink during it? I'd like advice so I don't start getting dizzy from dehydration like I did last week.

    I don't know but that reminds me of the time over vacation when my dad made me carry a water bottle with me on a 10 mile run. I never had to drink any either.
