Girls football..
just curious but do your schools have a girls football team? or is there no such thing? cuz i was thinking about schools sports and that thought dawned on me. at my school we dont have football, but we have rugby for boys and girls, so i was wondering if football was the same way.

Re: Girls football..
at the high school level in our state its only offered to boys; in the pee-wee leagues it isn't rare at all to see girls playing

Re: Girls football..
We don't have a girl's football team... but I think by some rule/law if a girl could try out for out for our guys team (and if she were good enough, play) since there is no girl's equivalent. But there is a local independent girl's football team that my friend's sister plays on.

Re: Girls football..
My school has a girls football team. Although, it's one of the only schools in the area to offer such a sport, it is better than the boys football team though

Re: Girls football..
My school has an annual girl's flag football game (seniors vs. juniors) and all the other fall sports teams march around at half-time.

Re: Girls football..
Girls are allowed to join our team if they can pass tryouts, but I don't know that anyone ever has.
When I've seen it [girls football] played, it's always seemed a little trashy to me. I don't know.

Re: Girls football..
my school just has a pep rally with girls playing football (powderpuff). the juniors (pretend to be our rival team) vs. the seniors (our team) and the seniors kick the juniors ass. actually this year one girl's chin broke during the game. it was rough. the girls can try out for football they just wont make the team most likely at my school.

Re: Girls football..
Title 9 says there has to be more girl's sports than guy's sports? I wonder what kind of politician wrote that.

Yea that's what we have. They have one game that is held the night before the Homecoming Game. Ours is Freshmen/Juniors VS. Sophomores/Seniors. It's a pretty big deal for the High Schoolers... I didn't do it last year because it was a week before regionals & I didn't feel like getting injured.

You'd be surprised. Two years ago we had a XC girl screw-up her knee pretty badly. She was on crutches for a month or so, so no regionals for her. You also have the usual bruise and blackeyes at our games. Plus we sometimes have bets going around as to who is going to do what. There was something like $20 on whoever could clothesline this one girl. lol!

Re: Girls football..
we have powder puff..which is where all the grades switch and the guys play volleyball (ha they even wear the spandex its hilarious but disturbing) and the girls play football. all the grades compete against each other freshman play seniors and sophomores play juniors. last year i was a freshman and usually the try to make it so the seniors win because its their last year and everything. But, their class sucked and we crushed them. But we got hammered by the Juniors. There is a huge bonfire and party after all the games are over. It's really fun.

Re: Girls football..
no girls football, but we have powder puff night. Its when the girls(if you want to do it) have 2 teams and play flag football. Then the guys are the cheerleaders. The football coach is the cheer coach for the week, and visa versa for the cheer coach. Its hillarious, and most of the girls get pertty into it.
its so funny to see guys with skirts on (jeans under...lol) attempting to do flips.
