    RW Bullcrap? Empty RW Bullcrap?

Post by AudienceOfOne Mon Aug 04, 2008 1:03 pm

i have a RW calendar and it has tips on the side.

one of the tips says that, "20% of your fluid intake should come from food". i guess that means fruit, but it sounds like crap to me.

most food has some water in it, that makes sense. humans are 65% water. i'm sure you have never eaten a human but you get my point, there is a lot of water where you wouldn't expect it

Maybe that's a good guideline for the total amount of water you take in?

Maybe so you don't overhydrate and get hyponatremia.

    Ehh, who knows.

It might be an allusion to the fact that you shouldn't be eating just dry foods....

    Sounds a little weird though.

I've actually heard that tip in a Time magazine article on preventing heatstroke during the summer, so I don't think it's BS

Well I know this is old, but since it's bumped. You will get a lot of water from your food because lets face it, there is water in your food. If there wasn't water in it, your steak would just be beef jerky.

It's a time-release thing. As someone mentioned before, it helps prevent heat stroke.
