no, all you have to do is run a 10K with your nike plus system and upload it and they add you to the results.

yeah I dont have any nike+ and really dont want to spend the money on that either =/

yeah, the closest to me is NYC, and that's still a long way away, so I can't do it.

And I don't have nike plus... and I don't want it either. I almost never run with my ipod anymore.

I kind of want to do it, but I most likely won't.
I do live near NYC, but I'd still have to drive there, buy the attachment for the shoes, and I hate running with my iPod anyway.

You can get the sport band which is basically + without the iPod.

closest place is thailand, so its a no go for me too lol.

i've heard some things about the nike+ being unaccurate a lot.

i'm not sure if it's true.

but yeah, that run does sound like a lot of fun but it's wayy to far away for me and plus i don't have a nike+

i want to do it but i have a race that day and i can't wear my nike plus during a race and its a 10k not a 5k

Yeh, that's true. I measured my run on a 5k course and it said I had gone for 3.4 miles. Definitely not worth $60 for the sportsband +

I have a few friends that are carpooling up to LA to do the race, but I'm doing another race that day

Don't you have to calibrate it when you get it?

i wanted to do it....i wish i could do it...but i cant

im not doing it, i kinda want to though.

I just got the sportsband yesterday, but I still don't know if I will do the race or not. I doubt it.

You can, but it says that it is accurate already.

I would do it... but I lost my +ipod attachment that plugs into my ipod.

yeah i went out and ran a mile and calibrated it accordingly when i got it. works perfectly now. within .01-.05 of actual distance which is damn accurate for a pedometer

is it really that good sour worms? because i have been considering getting one lately
