    Breathing Empty Breathing

Post by xotrackkgirl Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:15 pm

So I need help with breathing.

I find it's usually breathing that gives out first in a long run. My throat sometimes get clogged. In swimteam we used to do toxic breathing where we'd sit at the bottom of the diving well until the coach threw something into the pool to let us know it's time to come up. I would sometimes choke and come up early. My dad and sister also have trouble, so I was wondering if it was hereditary.

I heard that you should inhale then do a longer exhale to clear out bad stuff in your lungs. This sounds noobish so im sorry, but I don't know whether to breathe through my nose or my mouth. And i also don't know what types of exercises help with breathing. If anyone could help, that'd be awesome.

    thanks :]

i dont know how to get better at breathing lol, but when i run i inhale and exhale when my left foot hits the ground.

oh, and a calming exercise that i do when im angry is, breathe in for 4 seconds and exhale for 8.
it usually does the trick lol.
