Re: Recovery
Ice baths (but of course you already said that).
Swimming.
An easy run (best to do these about six hours before a hard run, or the day after a hard workout).
Make sure you're eating and resting appropriately.
Elevate your feet if you can.
Warm up and cool down.
etc.

Re: Recovery
Recovery runs the morning of the workout
Proper breathing during run
(deep breathes into the lower portion of lungs, through the nose if you can)
Stretching after runs, refueling properly directly after a run

when legs are really tired i go for an easy run and it really helps the soreness and fatigue go away...

Back off the mileage, or deal with it for a few weeks while your body adjusts.

Re: Recovery
During track when people had to double events they would lie down on their backs and prop their legs/feet up in the air. I also do what everyone else said... stretching, ice... instead of an ice bath I just use a couple of ice packs.

You might be overdoing it.

Re: Recovery
Sleep more, 10+ hours, and make sure you are drinking enough water. If that doesn't help you, you are doing to much mileage. You aren't in good enough shape to run that many mpw yet, so lay off it for a while.

I always did that because it made me feel better before my 4th event... people would ask me if it worked & I just told them that I felt a little better (but then I thought this was all in my head)
I had a little period of time a few weeks ago where I was constantly tired so I just backed off of the miles a bit for 2 weeks. Now I'm all good and bringing them back on up. I don't really have any secret method though.

This combined with an HR monitor, barefoot running every day, and deep meditation before bed (as well as the occasional puff on the peace pipe) will make you a badass without even trying. But if your hair is not exactly 3 inches long it will all be in vain. You should also make sure your finger nail clippings are saved in a jar next to your bed so you can monitor training progress. I might be overthinking things, but there was an article on the internet that said I should do these things, so I do. It shall make me uber!
Edit: I'm pretty sure I read the same article you're using as a basis for your beliefs, so don't respond with that.
