Which one should I get (preferably to last me through the whole year)

I'm leaning towards the Lanangs right now because I know I can find a pair, but If the Eldos are as cheap as they say on Eastbay ($40) I might be willing to try to chase one down if the quality is comparable.

And then my friend was saying that Vents are the best spike you can get :/

Anyone want to weigh in before I go get a pair? If nothing changes, I'm getting the Lanangs.

Normally I would just stick with my old crappy brooks spikes, but I just looked, and the upper on the right shoe is starting to rip.

eldos are super light and cheap.
lanangs are more for european style races it seems.
vents are expensive, but your friend is right. theyre amazing.

they're all good spikes but you need to try them on. lanangs tend to fit wider and are made for midfoot/forefoot striking. vents and eldos are more narrow and will be more forgiving if you heel strike and maybe more comfortable considering your xc races could last more than 20 minutes
