Who swims?

anyone here swim as crosstraining? i find it to be a very tough way with a lot of benefits.

im a horrible swimmer. in PE last year we had a quarter of swimming and they assessed us by having us swim as much as we could in 12 minutes (i did 600m in 12 minutes lulz), and almost my whole class was on the swim team so i was by far one of the worst.

i do like swimming for fun though.

nope because our school doesnt have a pool, and the nearest one is too far away especially with gas prices and stuff.

But i've heard its amazing for cross training.

I'm on a swimteam, but I took summer off to join a track league.
It's pretty cool I guess. But, our practices are 10000x harder then track.
I get to the point where I can't breathe from being underwater so long, and I'm gasping for air. I guess it's because we barely take any breaks because you have 5 kids in 1 lane. Anyway for cross training it's amazing. Alot of our runners do it too. I notice it tones my arms really well. hah.

I don't swim on a team or anything, but I'm an assistant coach for our Special Olympics swimming team--so I get a lot of swimming in during outdoor and sometimes in the summer. It's nice.

I swim competitively. I've been injured for a month, so basically all I've been doing is swimming (about 2+ hours a day, but you don't need to do that much to get the benifits).
I've only been running again for the last two days, but I already feel a lot stronger and I hardly get winded at all... The benifits are amazing.

i do sometimes..but yeah im really slow at it.

i suck at swimming, i almost drown with my friend while camping trying to swim a halfmile in the middle of the pond to the nearest beach.

Both my grandparents have cottages on lakes and we visit them a lot in the summer... but I don't really swim that much... I mean when we visit I swim everyday, just not very far. I took swim lessons when I was little, but I'm not that good of a swimmer anymore. This summer I'd like to try to pick it up again thoughy

i took swim lessons when i was little too! i hated every session, and my mom always had to pick me up and drag me to the car cuz i never wanted to go.

ya i swim for xt...it really helps my running

who does swim? lol I have a thing with swimming.

the reason i like swimming is because i like to race (running, cars, bikes, swimming,ect.)

hah. when I was really little I took swim lessons and one day I came out crying because I had 2 ride on the guy's hairy back. that was the was the last swim lesson I took there. ahaah.

I'm on the swim team at my school. but this is my first year swimming competitively, so I'm not the best

haha thats funny I had a swim teacher like that too! but then I graduated to a higher level,and got a new hairless teacher. woopie!! lol

i do at the gym sometimes for xt. it makes me feel sooo weak. ha.
