i think i may have runner's knee. my knee has been hurting for the past 4 days and from what i've researched, it's runner's knee. my question: anyone had this before and if so, what did you do to heal it.

Re: runner's knee?
Lower your intensity or take complete rest, is it that hard to figure out? After that I would suggest checking your stride and your shoes and fixing as necessary.

Re: runner's knee?
I had this last year... I read that strengthening your quads will help it, so what I did was I sat on a high stool, put on ankle weights(pretty light) and then I just extended my leg at the knee a bunch of times because that exercises your quads. I didn't count how many reps, I just did it while watching TV. Then you lie down on your stomach and do hamstring curls with the ankle weights. There's a machine for this in the weight room too, but it's easier to do this at home. soooo, idk. this worked for me. Good luck!

Re: runner's knee?
yes, it stands for rest, ice, compression, and elevation. after long hours in the lab for about two years i concluded that this is the cure for everything including AIDS.futureNIKErunner wrote:P2 wrote:easy to get rid of. RICE.
