Research Paper Ideas?

So on Monday in my English class, we begin our research papers. Our teacher said that we are allowed to choose ANYTHING that we want. My problem is...I have no idea what to write about! I want to keep away with anything running related because I always do topics about running and it'll be too predictable. I also want to keep it simple. The paper doesn't have to be HUGE, but it also isn't going to be small...5 pages I THINK. I'm also not the type of person that writes about big historical events..unless they are funny. Any ideas anyone?

My ideas: Toilet Paper...how it came to be...who...why...ect.

hmm. You should write your paper discussing how various transformations from Democracy to Tyranny in the twentieth century (and you could include the twenty-first and nineteenth centuries as well, but there were fewer such revolutions) reflect or not reflect how Plato described how Democracies would degrade into Tyrannies in The Republic.

That's what I'm doing my Research Paper at the end of this term on FWIW.

Yup same.

The last speech I did was like 3 years ago now. I couldn't think of anything, so I just grabbed a random book of the shelf, and it was on dinosaurs. Probably the most boring speech ever. I did one the year before on my trip to the zoo haha, I just said 'I went and saw a giraffe, then a hippo...'. So I'm not really someone to ask for speech topics haha.

Ok...so I think I am going to do something, somewhat, running related. I'm going to do my report on Bill Bowerman & the 1st Nike Shoe.

I was going to say something in history that there'd be a lot of information on but not many people are aware of. I guess your topic fits that.
