    Cameras Empty Cameras

    Post by 5280ft Sat Nov 22, 2008 4:14 pm

I don't know if anyone knows much about cameras, but I'm trying to pick out a good one for Christmas/my birthday. We already have a few cheaper, digital ones, but the quality isn't great, especially when I zoom. We also have an expensive one for action shots. What I want is one that take a lot of detail and produces crisp, clean shots. I also want it to be able to zoom in a lot without getting fuzzy and to be able to take good photos with a short subject distance. Do anyone of you know of any good cameras? I love to take photos but I don't actually know much about cameras themselves, or technical terms, so sorry I didn't provide any.

It gets pretty good reviews everywhere I looked for it, its spendy though. How much do you plan on spending?

Thanks. I'll check both of them out.

As to how much I plan on spending, really its how much my parents plan on spending. Very Happy

I don't really know. Certainly not like a $5,000 camera, but definitely a few hundred to a little over a thousand, although I would probably have to chip in.

I said up to, it will likely be around 500.

But I do photo contests, and am thinking of becoming a photojournalist. You'd think that would mean I would know more about cameras, but I'm learning.
