NXN vs. NTN

For those who didn't know, Nike Team Nationals is going to change this year to Nike Cross Country Nationals, meaning it will have individuals as well as teams.

Do you think this was a smart move? And would you pass up Foot Lockers for NXN now? Will the talent all go to one race or will it be evenly distributed (sort of like what we see with NSIC and NIN)?

well its not a bad idea
some schools i know of
have one really talented guy that should definitely go to nationals
but too bad their schools xc team is way too small

that is a good point
ionno we gonna have to see what happens
hopefully, there isnt like a sudden movement from footlocker
i would much rather prefer a like evenly distributed kind

I agree. I would like to see NTNs remain as the one and true team nationals, along with FLs as the top individuals. I would want the individuals who just missed FL going to NXNs. That would keep FL the way it is and also keep the team aspect the main focus of NXNs.

great move by them even though i'm probably not going to Nike Cross Country it's a great idea. I was pissed this year I took second at region but, didn't get to go to finals. This year is footlocker for me =]

NXN is the response to the dissolution of the partnership between Nike and Footlocker. Hence why the uniforms at FLN were not Nike this year and just overall sucked.

We don't have any sort of national competition for school XC Mad

We have a nationals at the club level but it is longer then XC school races (8km-7km) and there aren't any year by year age divisions.
