Lance is Coming Back?!?!

He says he's going to ride in the Tour de France again this year. I think it's even worse than Brett Favre's comeback, there's no way he'll win.

He won the Tour de France 7 times in a row so I don't think he cares whether or not he wins. That being said, you don't have to win in order for the race to be a success. Top 10 (for example) is still a very good showing.

Its because running marathons is too hard for him.

meh. probably just needs another competitive ride. nothing wrong with that. i'd hate doing local races after winning the tour 7 times.

And he doesn't use his cancer foundation to promote himself. He was just as well known before all this Livestrong stuff came around.

He can't win it. He's been out of true practice for years, and so it'd be nearly impossible for him to peak again so long out of the racing elite. Also, who cares if he uses Livestrong to promote himself? He's raised millions to fight against cancer. It's not like he's shaving half his hair off for attention.

I hope he does good because I really don't think you should come back if your going to suck which he won't even though he won't be able to get back up to his old standards.

In his Tour de France days, Armstrong was on his bike 6hrs a day. I highly doubt he's doing that now.

I'm never convinced that he doesn't do steriods.

I don't think he does
They keep the samples and are checked against up to date drugs reasonably regularly
So if he does he must be real smart
It's one of those things that always seems to overshadow sports at the moment.
It's a shame

i doubt he'll win but im not saying i don't want him too--i have a load of respect for that guy.
