    Ryan Hall Fan Club

Post by Trackaholic on Sun Jul 06, 2008 12:27 am

-moved to ryanhall fan club forum-
PM ME IF YOU WANT TO JOIN

I am hereby deeming myself President thusfar of the Runner's Trail Ryan Hall Fan Club!
Recently, my good friends, I have had debate on which of these four american runners I considered my all time favorite:

    1. Frank Shorter
    2. Ryan Hall
    3. Seb Coe
    4. Tegenkamp

These four runners infused me with the hope that running good was not simply a talent left only for the kenyans, and these four runners have inspired me more than any others for my own personal aspirations.
But whenever asked who may favorite runner was, I was oft left speechless, unable to answer.
Well I have made my decision, and that my good friends is Ryan Hall!

Not only does ryan hall's amazing performances inspire me, as I am sure it does all of us, I find his firm belief in god to be just as motivating. He really lives his life for god, and finds his strength in him. While a few people may not care about his faith or believe that his faith shapes him as a runner and a person *cough*Sebastionharrison*cough*, the fact is that it truly does and plays a big role in why ryan hall is doing so well.

You would be a fool to believe elite running performance is not affected by heart or faith.

I almost got his autograph today. I was at this running film showing in Eugene. Ryan Hall was supposed to be there to sign autographs at the end. Right before the movie started, my mom went to the bathroom. She said while she was out, she saw him. But when we left the movie, his name was crossed off the list. I got Josh Cox instead.
    Anyways, Ryan Hall is awesome.

I'd like to be in too, though I'll admit Coe is my favorite runner on that list.

Has all had any recent results since the Oly trials? It seems like he would run a half or two just to sharpen up :/

I don't know much about marathon training, but I haven't been thinking about Hall at all recently.

I am not going to claim to be the only runner like this, but what sets me apart a bit is that I try to run not for myself. I admit that sometimes I get things out of perspective, but I really do try and run to make God smile and to bring Him pleasure. My favorite times in running are when I am running and just pouring myself out on the track, going all out for Him. I feel like I am doing what God created me to do. There is no better feeling than that. - Ryan Hall
