    Official Traxck Is Down Thread

Post by NYrunner on Wed Sep 29, 2010 6:39 pm

Since it's becoming a routinely thing where the site goes down at the end of every month, I figure I'll make a place for anyone bored that comes over here to complain about having to come over here.
Story: Yesterday while running through the neighborhood there was a car that came flying down the road at about 50-60 mph (30 limit). Somebody in the passenger seat starts screaming and when we look at the car something comes whizzing past us. Nobody was hit thankfully, and when we found what was thrown it was a full jar of peanut butter. Who carries around peanut butter, and who really thinks to throw the jar. That had to be premeditated, like "yo, I just bought an extra jar of peanut butter, let's drive around and see if we can't find some runners to chuck it at."

^ Oh my gosh that's ridiculous.

So I'm having some boy issues... the guy that I've mentioned a few times on taxck is the one I'm having my problems with. Him & I have gotten pretty close physically, but we aren't dating...but now him & I are questioning if we really want a relationship or not. Part of me hopes it fades into nothingness, but then another part wants a relationship. =/

Traxck is pissing me offfff man!
    Brandon- DEFINITELY pre-meditated.
Giselle- OMMMMMMMMGGGGGGG boys are skjsmjfsdjfbd.I think I legitly fucked up with one. If you saw what I posted on the Relationship Advice thread you know the backstory. But spark notes: Guy and I have been "talking" for two weeks, then the last past week nothing. I thought he was being a poop, then I thought it could've been misintepreted as ME not being interested. I sent a text, no answer. Still haven't talked. I think it's done. Crying or Very sad

But why? And a full jar of peanut butter? I understand soda cans, half jars of peanut butter, icee cups, but a full jar of peanut butter? What kind of society do we live in where we can waste such a thing?
    And girls are definitely skjsmjfsdjfbd.

    hey guys!
i was thinking that instead of coming over to RT everytime traxck is down, we could make the traxck fb group, join by request only, and then could just talk in there.

So I did my little trick again and was texting him from my friend's phone again without him knowing that it was me he was texting. We jsut talked about simple stuff and then I asked him if he had talked to giselle [me] lately because she's been acting differently. So of course he said no because he's ignored me for a few days now. So then I asked him if he would ever date giselle [me] and he said no that it doesn't seem like it would really work out. Ha yeeaaa so I got my info that I needed out of him. Later that night I gave in finally and texted him from my phone & he was just apologizing for not texting me and then was trying to talk to me like nothing happened.
Well I know better & now I know to move on.

    Invitational today! Pouring rain!
We started with a two mile WU, and then before the race starts there was so much goofing off. Normally, every team shouts their team name and has the little huddle, but everybody was just jumping in a big mosh pit screaming their heads off. Some kid puked on the starting line, and everyone ran away yelling "ewwwwwwwww." When the race started, everyone took off at a full on sprint, screaming things like "let's gooo" "this is Sparta!!" I finished soaking wet, but ran 18:13, which is a 16 second PR. After the race, we repeated antics that we did from last year's meet. There was a hut that was giving away t-shirts for the race, and we went up there, got our shirt, turned to the crowd and screamed "there's no more free ice cream!" to which everyone responded with "aww man." Then we walked our with shirts that have a long length to them so they covered our shorts and we'd walk around asking random people if they found our shorts. On the bus ride home, we had a stereo and blasting music and dancing/fist pumping in our seats. Amazing day.

Giselle: There are better guys out there. You'll find a good one one of these days.

Brandon: Definitely pre-meditated. I would have taken the PB home though and eaten it (provided it was unopened)

Hardest week/week and a half of XC right now:
Saturday - AM: RACE PM: Shakeout (13.5)
    -----
    Sunday - 90m LR (11.5)
Monday - AM: Strides workout PM: 55m run (13)
    Tuesday - AM: Shakeout PM: 6 x 8m @ threshold (17.9)
    Wednesday - AM: pool PM: 55m easy + 8 x strides (8)
    Thursday - AM: Shakeout PM: 1k,4k,2k,2k,1k,1k @ 8k pace - faster than 5k pace (16)
Friday - OFF (only really easy day)
    Saturday - AM: 4 x 2 mile (threshold, 10k pace, 8k pace, whatever's left) PM: Shakeout (17.5)
    ---- 84 mile week -----
And we're still going HARD till Tuesday (LR, Strides/Easy run, NWA Hills), but then cutback for a race and then a recovery week. Just gotta keep on going. Luckily, schoolwork is pretty easy, and I'm recovery well (ice baths + Katy Perry showers).

Oh, and we got out uniforms this week. BRIGHT yellow split shorts from Eastbay. We're going to show those half-tight-wearing Nancy-boys from Antigonish how REAL runners race. Pansies.

It wasn't unopened, it had a spoonful missing, which leads me to believe he was eating it out of the jar right before he came upon us.

For school, I need to write a paragraph on an achievement that personally touched my life. I need traxck to come back so I can copy what I wrote on there about helping the unconscious kid at the meet two weeks ago. I'd really rather not rewrite it all and I wouldn't be able to word it right if I tried to write it now.

Why does traxck always go down? I thought RWS said he paid for a full year so this shouldn't happen.

Ahh! My times are still getting slower and slower. We haven't had a hard workout in about a week because of a bunch of thunderstorms and meets, but I still get really tired really quickly when I run even if I'm running slowly. I also feel awkward when I run now. It's like I forgot how to run and I kind of end up limping.

if i had some way to pay rws a little bit, i really wouldnt mind, if we all chipped in 2 dollars even, considering all the active members we have it would probably be enough. i wish one of us could just handle the site somehow because rws doesnt really use it much anymore and i feel bad we have to run to him everytime we need it fixed.

So the area coach that I've mentioned that had Pancreatic Cancer passed away last night. I was getting on the bus to leave for my xc meet today when my friends started texting me & told me. I just went up to my coach and calmly told him...and then I started balling my eyes out so he just held onto me in a hug. His wife was at the meet with his team. Part of me thought she should've been home, but I know that he would have wanted her there with the team. He was an amazing man that will be dearly missed.
Today was also the day we went to the invite that is dedicated to my xc friend that passed away in May. Her mom found me before the race and let me know what they were planning on doing for her dedication. It was beautiful. The varsity team released a ton of balloons into the air with messages attached.
It was a day filled with lots and lots of tears. Sad
