I picked one up today. Any one else use them? The first time today was excruciatingly painful. . . does it get any better?

Re: Foam Rollers
I used one before and after the la marathon. It just felt weird, and I don't think it helped at all, however I was using it under more extreme circumstances.

How long between the two times you used it? I noticed a difference even today vs. yesterday. Still excruciating in spots, but the spots are fewer and smaller.

Re: Foam Rollers
I use one
it does get better, once your muscles loosen up then they don't hurt as much I think

Re: Foam Rollers
i use a foamroller pretty much every day now. it gets a lot better after the first few times, and i think it helps if you take long deep breaths (i know i always forget to breathe).
has anyone tried foamrolling their back? it makes me so happy
