Saweet Winter Running Accessories anyone? Empty Saweet Winter Running Accessories anyone?

    Post by Hurdle-Gurl Sun Jan 11, 2009 12:44 pm

I was just wondering if anyone had anything that's pretty cool for winter running.

My coach has these shoe grips for snow running. Him & his wife absolutely LOVE them. I tried them out the other day... I had to stop 2 miles into my run & turn around back to the school because my feet hurt really bad. My feet mainly hurt though because where we were running the road kept going from nice snow to run on with the grips, to perfectly clear road that made the grips pointless.
Another winter thing that I've seen would be some gloves that have a pocket in the plam, where you can put keys or a small cell phone at. I bought our coach's wife them for christmas because she's always just tying her key into her shoelaces.

I don't have any winter running accessories like that, although I do have a saweet ear warmer thing that I won from the NXN tour van (did anyone else's school get visited by them?).

yeah, those are the things that i posted the thread about.
i was wondering if they were worth the money.

i know what you mean H_G about how the road has bad parts...then it has good parts. i hate that.
    it's really annoying. Neutral

how much snow do you get?
because...well with temperatures below zero and snowstorms with 3-4ft of snow......i think you'd get sick of it pretty quick.

xc running gal- i'm lucky if i get 6 inches of snow. its probably true that i'd get sick of it, but i want snow days!

FinishingKick- did you have ozzie? (ozzy?). one of the girls on the team decided to flirt outrageously with him and give him her number, which was kind of funny. the spikes were really cool though.

Not really just for winter, but i got a ironan fitness tracker. you put a pod on your waist and it sends your pace and mileage to your watch.

    Gloves and a coat. hah
Honestly when it gets 20 something I dont think its that bad, but I hate it when its just 40 and drizzly. The humidity makes it worse I guess? yep.

I swear wearing gloves makes me faster. haha
