okay, so this week out of my mere 25 miles (i'm trying to build up right now...coach doesn't want me over 25 but w/e) annyway...out of my 25 miles this week, about 15 of them were on the treadmill.
normally i try to do no more than 1 run a week on the treadmill (it's usually my tempo or speedwork ) but however this week's winter weather has been harsher than normal and next week's is supposed to be pretty bad too.
if i bring my music i'm fine with running on the treadmill but my question is...
am i getting in less shape on the treadmill than i would be outside?
normally if i run outside my 5 mile time is about 4 minutes slower than it is on the treadmill, so i was hoping that if i just ran a little faster on the treadmill than i would have outside than it will make up for it.
what do you think?
btw, i'm an 8th grade girl. and one last question...
how much mileage this winter do you think is too much for my age? during the summer my top was 31. i had a good xc season and hoping for a better track season so should i just get up to 30 during the winter?
