    So
I officially am in the off season for a month (2 weeks totally off, and 2 weeks of base)
I'm cross training and have read a few books that talk about plyo and strength training... I would like to be alot stronger by outdoor season, indoor it doesnt really matter, anyways, I was wondering, should I start strength now or should I wait until I start doing my base training? Do I need to rest my legs completly or is strength training good when you arent running?

Take a couple days of nothing at all and then start strength training but still take 1 1/2 to 2 weeks off. I am planing on doing a lot of core this winter.

I'd rest completely, and cut out most of the cross training for a couple days at least (no more than 4-5 though). No strength training till base.
