Would you like a GPS watch with the heart rate monitor?

Timex makes very simple heart rate monitors that also doubles as a watch.

I have the Garmin 305, which I looove. It's also a GPS watch, and it's kinda pricey, but you can get refurbished ones of Ebay which work the same as new and cost much less.

Footpods only are accurate if calibrated and if your stride length doesn't change (which it will when you change speed)

I havn't used the forerunner 50 personally, but Garmins have a great reputation.

I'll have to talk to one of my xc coaches because he has a ton of different gps watches and all that junk. I am fine with just a stop watch but I was thinking about getting a heart rate watch because my middle school xc coach told me he thinks it helps him pace better than time.

it's a rechargeable battery, so you just plug the watch in. it depends on what setting you have it on, but normally it lasts like a day. but then sometimes it will run out of battery after like 3 hours. scratch
it's not that annoying, i would just like to be able to wear it all day and sleep in it and stuff without having to remember to plug it in.
