    well, states today...ran absolutely awful

5:22 first mile, body completely shut down and I finished in 18:03, I think I need to reevaluate my training

    this was my season:
    1.) 17:36
    2.)18:05 (state course)
3.)19:51* 11,000+ elevation, 2 miles uphill, guys running 15 flat ran about 16:30
    4.)16:59 (PR)
    5.) 17:40 (regional course)
    6.)17:18 (state course)
    7.) 17:31
    8.) 17:32 (regional course)
    9.) 18:03 (state course)

I feel like the second half of the season it was hard to even maintain my times when really I should have been improving, any advice?

Did you start doing to much speed work and possibly peak too soon?

I think that that might have been it. I did USATF track through july and did some very intense speedwork, and track races almost every summer weekend.

I was thinking that even if i got my mileage where I wanted it (around 50) it would be ok

Over winter I'm thinking of going around 60 for awhile with jus tsome tempos and stuff
