Leavin 4 the State Meet!

Today is the day in which my team will hop on a bus for a lovely 4-5 hour bus ride.
Tomorrow is the State Meet & I'm so freakin excited!!!
Being the #5 runner, I'm feeling the pressure! Based on where I finish, could mean we WIN State, or take 5th. I'm so scared! I have to run a 20:35 or better tomorrow & my best is a 21:05. I CAN do this! I'm so excited! When we get back I'll let you all know how it went.

Good Luck!

But I wouldn't put so much pressure on hitting a specific time. It's not like track where everybody runs around the same 400m oval (ok, not always the same, but track times are far easier to compare). The state course could be hella hilly, muddy, or what have you. Just go out there, relax, and ENJOY it!

I'm Back!
So I gave it everything I possibly could have and ran a 21:05.
Works for me. =) (PR!!!)
I took 82nd/236.
It was SOOO packed! (There were about 12 runners within 5 seconds of me!)
My team gave it everything they had and we took 2nd!!!
We were so excited! My coach started to cry. I cried at one point because my Best Friend went from running a 20:36 to a 19:44 and she made All-State. I'm so proud of her.
Now my team gets a road sign, banner in our gym, big a** trophy, and our Superintendent & Principal have to shave their heads. =) That'll be fun.

What was the final team score? 12 runners within 5 seconds of you just means that if you didn't collapse at the line you lost some points.
