    Knee injuries? Empty Knee injuries?

Post by Tri Babe 518 Sat Oct 25, 2008 5:27 pm

So I injured both knees in practice because of overuse, not resting, and being made to "run through the pain" despite the fact that I knew better see other post). I'm going to the doctor on Monday, and I'm hopefully gonna see a sports medicine specialist on Tuesday. My left knee is really swollen and there is a sharp pain to the left side of the knee cap and into the muscle when I walk or put weight on it. It pops when I (attempt to) jog and feels like there is fluid under the cap. My right knee has been hurting on the side, but now that I've been compensating for my bad leg using my right leg, my right hip and knee are killing me. Regionals are in two weeks, and I honestly don't wanna go at this point.

What do I do? How long do I rest? My mom is a doctor and she said 2 weeks. What do you think?

+1. If regionals don't matter that much too you then don't do them and focus on something else.
