    Sweeeeet.

Post by runner_dude on Tue Oct 07, 2008 8:34 pm

So my team (which I'm not technically on) is going to Laval, Quebec for a meet this weekend. Since I'm not actually on the team (and I'm not quite fast enough for varsity) I had to pay my own way if I wanted to go. Now I figured I didn't have enough money, but today I went to where I used to work to pick up my last pay stub, and it turns out they didn't direct deposit it, instead they gave me a cheque, so I now have the money to go!

Then I also had an amazing workout (read about it on the dailies) which makes me think I'm about ready for a breakthrough race Smile

Have fun. How far away is Laval from where you live?

Damn, our team pays for everything even if you aren't running. Usually 10 bucks for breakfast and free lunch; If it's really far away we get around 100 dollars in spending money.

It's a pretty long trip (15 hours each way I think?) and we stay over night. And we're not as big a university as yours (probably)

Because the school I go to (University of King's College) is affiliated with Dalhousie (the big school) but as a King's student, I can't actually run on the Dalhousie team. That, and as a Freshman, I'm not quite fast enough to be varsity for Dalhousie anyway, they have a pretty good team (consistently in the top 10 in the nation)
