    Fastest I've seen (should be kid in the red on the top/left side of the page)

    Lions Pride Invite at Lyons Township

    The course was flat and very muddy...yet it was a coming out party for Lincoln-Way Central Freshman Lukas
    Verzbikas, who set a course record on his first varsity race. Verzbikas crushed the field winning by 39 seconds
    over Orland Park Sandburg's Zach Dahleen.


    IL- Peoria Woodruff Invitational

    Freshman Lukas Verzbicas wins AAA boys race over Danny Pawola of Neaqua Valley. Geneva wins both boys and girls AAA team titles.

    Freshman Lukas Verzbicas of Lincoln Way Central breaks the 22 year old course record at Argo, running 14:39 over the hilly course at Bullfrog Lake. Old record was set in 1986 by Notre Dame's Len Sitko.

    I haven't seen any super fast freshmen, but at this one invite we went to, a freshman won the varsity race in 19:05 (the 19th fastest time in course history). It was a pretty hard course too.

    ehh i just know one shes not amazing she ran a 19:57 at malone last week which is a really hard course. still good for a freshman though.

    Verzbicas is turning 16 soon though.

    But anyway, our number one right now ran like low 16s a frosh.

    He was still number 1 as a seventh grader.

    17:50 5k. he had a twin who was low 18's. they moved to germany after freshmen year though.

    Unless those girls started really early and are headed for burnout, that coach has not had enough time to relly make an impact on them and therefore it is almost all talent.
