First Race

Today is my first race and its a 2.5(4k). I dont expect to win but i know im gonna make a big pr. My goal is to beat this kid on our team thats really cocky but its gonna be tough.

I just came back from the usual after race hang out which lasts hours. I got a 14:44 which is a big jump from last years 17:18. To think my first 4k ever was 24:5x.Im feeling godd cuz i got 10th an earned my first ever xc medal.

I didnt beat the kid i wanted but he gave me props after the race. So i earned some respect today for me and my school.We were ranked 10th in the city but we surprised everyone and won 2nd place overall

For a minute I forgot it was a 4k, and it was a 5k. I was already to bow down in awe.

as in coming outta nowhere and surprising ppl

ya, during track last year for the mile, i would usually get 4th or 5th in league meets. so league finals came, and the day before, my coach kinda picked out who would most likely make it to finals.......and he didnt point to me. so the next day, i was really mad, and wanted to prove him wrong. I ran really hard, and stayed up with the top girls, and came in 3rd (they take top 3) i was so excited, and my coach was speechless....all these coaches from other schools were like: where do you come from??

anyway...kinda long story...Great Job thou!!!!

Was that at VCP? How does the construction change the course?

14:44 is a solid early season time there, nice job.

It doesnt change anything for the 2.5 but for the 5k it looks a litle weird.I think they made the path to thewoods a little narrower.

Thats y i was motivated to one of my favorite coaches said something kinda similarbut i guess i didnt prove him wrong since i didnt beat the kid
