Run it like a 2 miler but go out a bit harder and start your kick sooner.

Remember that a 3k is less than 2 miles, 6:00 to 5:30 pace at a 5:45 avergae may be too slow unless the course is hilly.

    6 pace makes a 11.10.

could i do better than 6 pace in a 3k if my pr is a 6.12 pace in a 5K?

I had a 3k race this year. But yeah I only have to race that distance once a year but I would go out harder and try to keep a faster pace than normal since it's shorter.

I have to do a 4K race for AAU Cross Crountry. But if I were you I would walk the course and choose landmarks to help you with when to kick or identify the last tenth. That's what I usually do when I have an odd distance like 3K or 4K.

The last tenth is too late.

considering the terrain difference, his time might be very close to that of a track 2 mile, and if the
times are the same then the intensity and the timing are all the same

I wonder if I start a topic called "Eggs or Bacon" if it would be some how changed into another God vs. no God topic.
